Job description

The Senior Consultant, ICT Research, will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality market intelligence for leading IT services companies globally. This position involves creating comprehensive market intelligence report, competitor dashboards, deep-dive reports, and supporting senior stakeholders with actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate should bring deep domain expertise in IT services, coupled with outstanding analytical and client management skills to manage a diverse range of projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Competitor Insights Development
  • Create competitor dashboards, battle cards, and deep-dive global/regional competitor insights decks.
  • Perform detailed analysis of IT services companies, highlighting key differentiators, go-to-market strategies, and emerging trends.
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights, tailored to client needs.
  1. Thematic Research Decks
  • Develop global/regional market analysis presentations covering industry trends, challenges, opportunities, and key drivers.
  • Provide strategic insights aligned with organizational goals and emerging market dynamics.
  1. Ad-hoc Requests
  • Handle time-sensitive, high-impact research and analysis requests from senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Deliver quick-turnaround insights that address specific client challenges or strategic initiatives.
  1. Knowledge Sharing & Thought Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate webinars, virtual knowledge-sharing sessions, and internal/external workshops to disseminate key market insights, research findings, and best practices to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.  
  1. Project Management & Coordination
  • Scope, structure, and plan research studies based on available data and client requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality outputs by mentoring junior analysts and coordinating with third-party research providers.
  • Maintain robust quality control processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance of all deliverables.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage directly with clients through regular check-ins, workshops, and presentations to align on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders, including participating in webinars and client discussions.

Domain Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of the IT services market, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.

Analytical Skills

  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets to extract trends and actionable insights.
  • Proficient in developing compelling storylines and visually appealing presentations in PowerPoint and MS Word.
  • Ability to conduct scenario analyses, including "what-if" modelling and strategic recommendations.

Research Methodology

  • Design and execute research strategies utilizing a mix of secondary research, primary interactions, and industry databases.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking, market sizing, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of research methodologies and outputs.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and manage expectations effectively.
  • Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless delivery and communication.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related fields. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computers, ICT, or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in secondary research, competitive intelligence, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with databases such as Gartner, IDC, Factiva, Global Data, Capital IQ, and Bloomberg.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a client-centric approach.
  • Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
