What Japan can bring to the world?

Twimbit Japan marked its first anniversary with a lunch discussion at the Palace Hotel Tokyo, bringing together leaders from across industries for a conversation on "What Japan can bring to the world."

The discussion explored how Japanese companies can build on strengths such as quality, trust and long-term commitment while becoming more responsive to local market needs overseas.

A key takeaway was that while quality continues to be a defining strength, speed and affordability are increasingly important factors in global markets. Balancing these expectations with Japan’s established strengths will be critical as companies look to expand and compete internationally.

The session was marked by active participation, diverse perspectives and an engaging cross-industry exchange. As Twimbit Japan looks ahead, the event also marks the beginning of an annual platform for continued dialogue on Japan’s role in the global business landscape.

When AI talks to customers, who's actually in control?

Twimbit hosted the CXO Collective roundtable in Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Cisco, on "Governing the Agentic CX." The discussion reflected growing urgency to move agentic AI in customer experience from pilot to production with governance as the real bottleneck.

The session highlighted three key priorities. A maturity gap remains stark: 74% of enterprises already use AI agents, yet only one in five have governance mature enough for real autonomy, even as AI-CX spend is projected to grow from $10.7 billion to $54 billion. How human an AI sounds is now table stakes. What actually separates working deployments is the orchestration engine where it backed by firm guardrails and a clear split between deterministic and AI-driven workflows.

Some brands are even keeping their bots publicly labeled 'in beta' a year after launch, just to manage expectations.

Human-in-the-loop remains unresolved: most handoffs today happen simply because a customer asks, not because a system detects risk, leaving regulated sectors insisting human oversight cannot be optional.
