However, Coupang truly breaks the mold as a delivery service by including on-demand entertainment. From live sports to trending Korean dramas, Coupang subscribers can enjoy these services without additional costs.  

By bundling expedited delivery with a growing OTT platform, Coupang taps into multiple facets of individuals’ daily lives, enhancing loyalty with consistent value. The result - WOW members had grown to ~14 million by the end of 2023.

Peloton’s pedal-powered community

Over in the world of fitness, Peloton has revolutionised the way we break a sweat with its subscription service and extensive library of on-demand and live classes. The seamless integration between Peloton’s hardware and digital content also elevates the subscriber experience, providing an immersive workout journey.  

However, the jewel in Peloton’s crown is its community. The platform thrives on social features, allowing users to high-five fellow cyclists during workouts or climb leaderboards in friendly competition. This shared journey forms a "tribe culture," where subscribers find motivation in two wheels and a screen. By creating social engagement, Peloton builds a remarkable community of committed users, evident as subscriptions soared to 3.08 million by the end of their fiscal year 2023.

Headspace excels in mental well-being by offering a subscription of guided meditations and mindfulness exercises tailored to individual goals, like reducing anxiety or improving sleep. By aligning its content with subscribers' personal and evolving needs, Headspace ensures ongoing engagement in today's wellness-focused world.

The gamification of meditation is another stroke of genius. By enabling users to track meditation streaks and mood improvements, Headspace injects a sense of accomplishment into the practice. The transformation of mindfulness into an engaging, goal-oriented experience elevates subscriber commitment, turning what was once a chore into an enriching daily ritual.
